My favorite free resources to learn French (with audio):

French.About.com has tons of material, free lessons, great forums, and a fun newsletter that will keep you informed of the updates. Several of my lessons are featured by Laura, including my free book A Moi Paris.

The French site of the BBC features Ma France, 24 VIDEO episodes to brush up your French, and much more.

This is a fun way to learn French, with French music videos and lyrics clips pour apprendre.

Very nice site to listen to words of vocabulary and conjugated verbs audiofrench.

Listen to Baudelaire's poem in MP3 formats on FleursduMal.org.

Preview all kind of movies in French on 1000films.com.

RadioFrance: a lot of radios grouped together. Something for everyone. Listen and read the articles on line.

Other useful sites:

TV5: This channel is available around the world and combines programming from France, Canada, Belgium and other francophone countries. This channel is available in the States through Dish Networks (a second dish is often necessary), C-Band and several cable companies in some Miami, Boston and Virginia markets.

You'll find all the lyrics of all the French songs on this (hard to navigate but) great site paroles-chanson.org

Gastronomy Provence-Beyond is a site that includes recipes as well as a French/English Gastronomy Dictionary! It is really well done.

Think French is a monthy audio-based French magazine with fun content for all levels - a great way to improve your understanding of everyday French and improve your vocabulary. I am one of their monthly featured voice artists.

France Amerique : independent French language newspaper printed and distributed in the US. Lots of very interesting articles about French Culture, a good tool to improve your reading in French.
